Sant Kabir Das was one of them, whose entire works have been mentioned in the Holy Book of the Guru Granth Sahib by none other than the great incarnation of Adi Guru Datattreya – Shri Guru Nanak Sahib. In these Kabir Bhajans, the works of Kabir Das have been expressed through music. His inspiring spontaneous prose and poetry has divinised Music. His Dohas (as the poetry is called), bring to life the poet’s inner feelings. Set to music by the illustrious Bollywood Music Director Duo Sapan-Jagmohan, the bhajans have been sung by noted playback singers Kavita Krishnamurthy & Sadhana Sargam along with me. These songs have the power to re-assimilate the dispersed human attention from materialistic indulgences and focus it on subtle & sublime realms of Truth, weaving a perfect harness within each being. It is indeed a breakthrough from our illusionary web of materialism, taking us to a higher divine platform of existence. By listening to these bhajans one goes into instant meditation. Such is the power of this great Poet of all times. These are melodies, recorded professionally to pay the highest tribute to Sant Kabir. The purpose of bringing out these albums is to capture your heart, by feeling the pulsation of his heart, that once throbbed to bring about a change in the perception of Human beings about their lives. He must know that there is a higher power that he must recognize and feel it’s his love within. Only then would his heart change for the better. Recorded between 1991 & 1994. कई वर्षो से हमारा इतिहास गवाह है। ऋषि मारकण्डेय से लेकर आज तक के अनगिनत संतों और अवतरणों ने हमारी भूमि को अपने चरणों से पखारा है। मनुष्य जितना वैज्ञानिक और भौमिकमय चेतनाओं में लीन है, उतना ही, यह सच्चाई कि ‘‘मैं आत्मा हूँ’’, उससे पृथक है। अत्यधिक धन, सम्पन्नता, आत्महीन बोधियों को गुमराह की ओर ले जा रही है। शायद इसीलिए भारत धनवान न हो सका। यहाँ कि दौलत ही कुछ और है। इकबाल साहब सही फरमा गए - ‘‘कुछ बात है कि हस्ती मिटती नहीं हमारी, अब तक मगर है बाकी नामों निशां हमारा।‘‘ यह हस्ती इसीलिए नहीं मिटती, क्योंकि दैवी शक्ति ने अपनी दौलत का वितरण इसी देश से करना है। यही पर लोग गरीबी में बैठकर मुस्कुराना जानते हैं। बाहर की दौलत से, अन्दर की दौलत बहुत गहन है। इसे, स्थापना के बाद कोई नहीं चुरा सकता। यही वह दौलत है, जो रखने से कमती, और देने से बढ़ती है। बच्चे भी अपने गुड्डी-गुड्डियों से खेलते हैं व उनकी शादियां इत्यादि करते हैं। ठीक उनको अपने स्तर पर लाते हैं, चाहे वह निर्जीव ही क्यों न हो। फिर वह महान प्रभु, जिसने ये सारा संसार रचा है, क्या नहंी चाहेगा कि उसका मानव भी उसी के स्तर को समझकर उसी के जैसा हो जाए? हज़ारों वर्ष लगातार वह मच्छ से जीवन को मनुष्य तक लाया है, और शायद अभी रास्ता आगे और भी है। इसीलिए अवतरण आ-आकर, हमारी उंगली पकड़ कर, हमें आगे ले जाते रहे हैं। वह, उस प्रभु की अपनी शक्ति ही तो हैं। इन्हीं में से एक संत कबीर हुए। उनके अनोखे ज्ञान व अनुभवी कविताओं ने भक्तों के मन मोह लिए हैं। अब तो हर जन, जब इसी मानसरोवर का जल चखेगा, तब उसकी चेतना जागेगी। जब यह सामूहिकता में जगेगी, तो सत्युग आ ही जाएगा। उसी ओर हमारी निगाहें व प्रयन्त लेखनियों की चेष्टाएं, मानव चेतना की समृद्धि की खुशबू फैलाना चाहती है। कबीर दास जी का लेखन हमें उसी दिशा की ओर ले जाता है। प्रस्तावना संत कबीर की रचनाएं भक्तों के दिलों में उल्लास की लहरें बनकर उतर आई है। इतिहास, केवल घटनाओं का वर्णन नहीं, बल्कि सामाजिक व आर्थिक संबंधों के परिवर्तन की कहानी है, जो वास्तविकता में विचारों और चेतना की प्रगति है। पात्र तो केवल अपने-अपने समय की परछाईयां है। तारीखों, परिस्थितियों और घटनाओं का कबीर अतीत है, लेकिन विचारों और चेतना का कबीर, भावनाओं व अनुभूति का कबीर, वाक और माधुर्य का कबीर, आज भी ज़िन्दा है। हर दोहे के ज़रिये उनका व्यक्तित्व और उनकी ज़्ाुबान आज भी विद्यमान है, मानों जैसे सहज ही उनका साज़ जब रहा हो। बाहर के शोरगुल को जैसे ओझल करते हुए, अंतर गति में उनके दिल का नाद, आत्मा को छूता हुआ, एक अनोखा अनुभव प्रकाशित करता है।
