Prerna was born in 1988. That was the time of great inspirtion I was getting from Shree Mataji. All her divine attention and that too, to every detail. Ever since she took me in her fold as the first Sahaj musician to bring out Bhajan Cassettes at Ganapatiphule, and subsequently perform my songs at the seminar held during the Christmas Puja of 1987, there was no looking back. Each year I was inspired to comeback with a freshly recorded album. Shree Mataji herself invited me to Pune in 1988 and sing for the Navratri Puja. This time, I knew I would be asked to present a song at the puja. For the first time ever I began to compose Music to my lyrics just a day before the puja and sang "He Ma Adi Kundalini Gauri Ma". I cannot forget the most loving smile Mother gave me. He eyes were full of love as she nodded with great pleasure. I was asked to wash Her feet at the Puja. In that visit to Pratishthan at Pune, I had stayed with Mother in the same house for a few days. It was here that Mother called me and asked me if I was still writing poems. I told her "Yes Mother, but I want to bring Seekers to Sahaja yoga through my poems". She immediately closed her eyes and burst into divine poetry. I was quick to jot it down and composed it there and then in front of Her. Frankly I really do not know if it was really me composing it. In her presence it just flowed through me, like a miracle. The song was Rabbani Ban...... Aaa Tujhko Dikhaaon... She asked me to prepare it and sing it to the foreigners in Ganapatiphule in December.She said, they would love this song. It was the first time I performed it at Ganapatipule in Dec 1988. The lights had gone off in the middle of the program. Mother asked me to sing without the mike. I sang Rabbani Ban..... That same night the Noida Bhajan Group was also called upon to sing. They could sing loudly and did not need the mike. That evening everyone danced the whole night to music. There are at least 3 songs in Prerna that Shree Mataji rendered the words to. Shree Mataji advised me not to take all this to my head. "You are merely an instrument, surrendered to this power" she said.In 1989 Shri Krishna Puja at Garlate, Milan Ashram, she releaased Prerna.
